So we all have had our weak moments. You know what I am talking about, at the dinner table when our adorable Bully decides he is going to give us those sad eyes so that we will give him some scraps. Here is a quick list of foods that under no circumstance do you feed to your Pitbull.
1. Chocolate – Has a chemical called Theobromine, which is similar to caffeine. Not Good for your pooch.
2. Macadamia nuts – Super bad for your Bully.
3. Grapes – And yes, raisins too.
4. Onions – No onions. Contains organosulfides, bad news.
5. Avocados
6. Xylitol – Sweetener used in candy and some foods such as peanut butter.Â
7. Garlic
If your bully stops eating, starts vomiting, becomes lethargic or lame in the back end, Please call Animal Poison Control or your vet immediately.
As a experienced dog breeder for over 20 years, I just wanted to share this tip. If you cannot reach a vet or Poison control, start spooning a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide down your Bully’s mouth until he starts to vomit.
Please be advised I am not a licensed vet, just a breeder passing on information I have learned over the years.
